Dr. John Brosz is the Project Coordinator at the University of Calgary for the Academic Research and University Libraries: Creating a New Model for Collaboration Project funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. This project issues subgrants to Calgary scholars that fund research that requires active support from the University's library. These sub-projects inform the development of a research platform within the library, increasing institutional capacity, and actively engaging library staff in the process. John also provides data visualization and research data management support, consultation, and training to scholars from a variety of areas across campus. He has a PhD in computer science where he was involved in research in the areas of information visualization, computer graphics, and human-computer interfaces.
